Dominique Byrd is part of the Administration and Development team at Comunidades Unidas. She attended the University of Utah and earned a B.A. in Health, Society, and Policy with a minor in Sociology as well as a B.A. in Spanish. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. Dominique started as an intern at Comunidades Unidas in 2022 and joined as a staff member shortly afterward. During her internship, she participated in the workers rights and preventative health program before transitioning into administrative work. Dominique has lived in Utah her whole life and she loves her community. She is passionate about immigrants rights, workers rights, equitable access to healthcare, and environmental justice. In her current role at Comunidades Unidas, she assists with administrative tasks, finances, and grant writing.

In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and her cat, and taking walks.
