Meet Wyatt Corbin, Preventive Health Intern
I decided that I wanted to be a part of CU as an intern for many reasons. However, the most significant was because of my experience serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the states of Morelos and Guerrero, México. There I developed a deep love for the people and a desire to serve and empower them. When I returned home from my mission, I noticed CU had the same mission and I wanted to be a part of it.
While working with the community, my most rewarding experiences came from meeting CU’s clients and getting to know them on a personal basis. When they shared their precious experiences with me I felt it was an honor to be involved in their service. I knew that acting to empower them was the most important thing I could do for them and the community.
To all other students and individuals who wish to make a change in the community, the best way I have learned to do it is to start one-by-one in our interactions with our family members, friends, and community-members. As we act with kindness, love, and understanding, this will lead us and others down
